Monte Carlos have been a Columbia, MO rock n roll institution since their inception in 2005. Often combining a highly danceable mixture of blues boogie with the raunchy spirit of mid 60s American garage rock, the band makes a lovely noise that people appreciate in varying states of inebriation. Currently the band consists of Lou Nevins on bass/lead vocals, Anthony Zager on riff-tastic guitar/backing vocals, and Seth Ashley on drums and they have released two records on the Cavetone Records label, with plans to release another in the summer. These records vary sonically from yayed-up Ramones trash to psychdelia that would make even the Vanilla Fudge jealous but generally centering around a dirty dancy style of garage pop. The band currently plays extensively around Missouri ruining hearing and shaking hips and generally can be found at Sheakepeare's Pizza.
